Jason Fulford (b. 1973) is an American photographer, publisher, and educator who splits his time between Brooklyn, New York City, and Scranton, Pennsylvania. Renowned for his innovative approach to photography, Fulford primarily uses the book as his creative medium.

Fulford’s latest book is a dynamic reinterpretation of conceptual artist Sol LeWitt’s 1977 publications PhotoGrids and Autobiography. Lots of Lots transforms nearly seven hundred photographs of seemingly ordinary objects into a compelling collection of interconnected and overlapping forms. Using a 3×3 grid format with nine square images per page, the book organizes its subjects by whimsical traits such as color palette, slogans, distinctive shadows, and geometric shapes. Free from constraints of location, style, or time, Fulford’s work oscillates between harmony and chaos, mirroring the shifting patterns of order and disorder in our world. An empty laundromat, a solitary park bench, and a cascading waterfall take on new meaning in Fulford’s witty and thought-provoking compositions, revealing unexpected beauty within the relentless cycles of production and consumption.
