Richard Meier. Houses and Appartments
Richard Meier, Paul Goldberger, Joseph Rykwert and Massimo Vignelli
Rizzoli, New York, 2007
Meier’s style has evolved over the years, becoming increasingly complex spatially and more structurally daring. Included here are not only single-family homes, such as beach houses in California and Florida, but also sleek apartment buildings, such as the three renowned towers on Perry and Charles Streets in Manhattan, and a luxurious getaway, the Playa Grande Resort and Artists’ Colony in the Dominican Republic. More than 250 color photographs, drawings, and plans give insight into these very significant additions to Meier’s international oeuvre.
Rizzoli has published four monographs on this Pritzker Prize-winning architect as well as books on his museums, sculpture, and houses.
