Georges Baines (1925-2013) is one of the few Belgian architects who consciously sought connections with the artistic avant-garde of the 1920s after the Second World War. Initially, he mainly built individual homes, later he also did public buildings and restorations. His early work is characterized by a moderate modernism. After that, he increasingly strove for abstraction. This book is an overview of his architectural projects up to 2006.
