Pairing a selection of recent watercolours from 2011 and 2012 by Thomas Schütte this work illustrates 18 previously unpublished poems by Robert Walser between 1924 and 1933. The book is dedicated to the Chicago gallerist Donald Young who invited Thomas Schtte to participate in an exhibition in 2012. Walser was a hero to Schtte and this tribute is beautifully illustrated in a Japanese bound hardcover. Published in the original German with new English translations of each Walser poem and with an introduction by Dr. Reto Sorg, director of the Robert Walser Archives.
