Two strong women, two strong artists: For the first time Rosa Loy (b. 1958 and married to Neo Rauch) and Rose Wylie (b. 1934) exhibit together – although they have known each other for a long time and during their acquaintance also created joint artworks. Both are united by figurative painting and storytelling. For this, Rosa Loy chooses a neo-romantic surreal approach, creating small mystically charged worlds in which her protagonists act, work and communicate. Rose Wylie, on the other hand, uses seemingly naive forms of expression and a fund of life experiences, adventures and her own worldview. In this way she makes everyday life seem more wonderful. Rosa and Rose are passionate painters.
