Paula Scher (b. 1948, Washington D.C.) is considered the most influential graphic designer of her generation. Since the 1970s she has stood for innovative and uncompromising design. In 1991, she became a partner in the New York office of the design consultancy Pentagram. For her exhibition at Die Neue Sammlung – The Design Museum, she has designed an artist’s book with 101 removable posters from her entire oeuvre. By sequencing them in the book, the halves of two different posters reveal a new motif on each double spread. Thus, the book offers a whole new way to experience the creativity, humor, and versatility of this unique graphic designer.
