The publication is the first attempt to catalogue Italian pastas, conducted under the patronage of the Staatliche Hochschule für Bildende Künste, Staedelschule (Frankfurt a/M) by Eugenio Madagliani and Fernanda Gosetti on the basis of regional Italian traditions and made by the different types of pasta made by national manufacturers.
Drawings by Libero Gozzini and Wilma Incerti and an essay by Prof. Peter Kubelka on the nature and meaning of pasta.
