Mauricio Rocha was born in Mexico City in 1965 as the son of photographer Graciela Iturbide and studied architecture at Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México in the Max Cetto workshop. Besides architecture he has worked as an artist doing interventions in different buildings and exhibiting at important national and international places such as Artists Space in New York. In his architectural works his most outstanding buildings are different projects realized in México City. Throughout his career as an architect he has designed and developed multiple projects, both public and private. This has allowed him to carry out a project that alternates his work with the realization of ephemeral architecture interventions in art exhibitions, as well as in museography.
