Kossmanndejong (KDJ) is an Amsterdam-based experience design studio founded in 1998 by Herman Kossmann and Mark de Jong. Combining storytelling with spatial design, the studio creates exhibitions and environments for museums, cultural institutions, public spaces, and brands. Drawing inspiration from theatre and film, KDJ helped redefine exhibition design as immersive experience design. Now led by Femke Bijlsma, Niels de Jong, and Robert van der Linde, the studio continues to evolve the field. This publication, the third in a series following Engaging Spaces and Narrative Space, explores the transformative potential of narrative environments and reflects on exhibition design as a dynamic contemporary medium.
