Edition of 230 copies about the work of Belgian artist Leen Van Tichelen (b. 1981). Trained as a painter, she filters a personal story from reality with great sensitivity that she decomposes according to her own abstract codes. She looks for structures and patterns that she creates or finds, and then insulates or copies.
They often recycles pieces of in new way of working, making every artwork in a direct connection with the previous and the following.
The search is the same.
The formal experiments come about in sets, a diligent game of add, stack and connect.
Van Tichelen relates to the exhibition space in the same way as her studio. In situ interventions, they enter into a direct dialogue with the possibilities and limitations of the space, so that the objects are sometimes minimal and modest, but increasingly adopt large proportions.
