The Museum of Museums is an iconic conceptual art project and eponymous exhibition by the Belgian artist Johan Van Geluwe (1929-2020),  held at the International Cultural Centre (ICC) in Antwerp from 17 January to 1 March 1981. Van Geluwe acted as the fictional curator, archivist, and director of his own imaginary museum. From this role, he satirically and subversively mocked the art world, museums, and authorities. On January 16, 1981, he officially declared the ICC a museum. In the catalogue, he included, among other things, portrait photos of all the ICC staff members at that time. You will undoubtedly recognize Flor Bex, the director, but also Annie Gentils (now a gallery owner), artist Narcisse Tordoir, who worked there as a museum attendant instead of joining the army, Hilde Van Pelt (former art history lecturer), etc.
