During 2020, German artist Georg Baselitz (born 1938) created two bodies of work, documented here: The first part consists of ten canvases dedicated to the artist’s wife, Elke, depicting her as ice cream. The second part comprises seven paintings dedicated to Emilio Vedova, which are, for the most part, monochrome or bicolored; their titles afford the public a glimpse into the relationship between the artist and his longtime friend.
