Forensic Architecture: Witnesses (Louisiana Museum of Modern Art)
Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, 2023
Since 2010, the research agency Forensic Architecture has investigated dozens of state violence – military intervention, environmental destruction, border violence and police murder. The group’s architectural models function as archives that weave together videos, data, material traces. At the centre of their work is the multiple accounts of witnesses at the forefront of conflict.
Accompanying the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art Exhibition, this catalogue focuses on the human and material witnesses at the core of Forensic Architecture’s work. Featuring texts by the founder and director of Forensic Architecture Eyal Weizman, PhD Christina Varvia and a roundtable discussion between members of the current team, the book opens a window into Forensic Architecture’s working methods and projects.
