Since her first comprehensive monograph was published in 2017, Amelie von Wulffen (German, b. 1966) has created many new paintings and sculptures. They address emotional and also psychoanalytical issues. At the core of the interest lies the relationship between autonomy and heritage, the unconscious and the conscious, the carrying along of trauma or guilt, as well as hidden longings, fantasies or the disclosure of shame.
