They make you smile. A stuffed fox, a portrait of Christ, a dusty bust from ancient Egypt, a globe in showy colors … They are displayed like treasures behind glass and invite you to think about the story that could be behind it, about the intimate life that takes place behind the facade. Photographer Jean-Luc Feixa wandered for months with his camera in his hand through the streets and avenues of Belgium, curious about the hidden places and the typical colors of his new hometown. His initial impression of Belgium. as a rather gray country turned out to be unjustified thanks to his photo project: Jean-Luc was surprised by the versatility of his new homeland, and he managed to capture Belgium’s unique, quirky, colorful and surrealistic je-ne-sais-quoi on statue.
Jean-Luc Feixa is from France and moved to Brussels in 2013. He has more than 15 years of experience as a photographer: for a while he worked as a press photographer and journalist, but in recent years he has focused on his own projects.
