In this book which accompanies the exhibition at the BNF (March 29th-June 26th) Richard Prince reveals an unexpected aspect of his work, the bibliophile and collector of works of pop culture and subcultures from the 50s-80s, items which served as inspiration for his photographs and paintings. He reveals here splendid and very precious treasures from his personal library.
Prince is a bibliophile, collecting rare volumes published from 1949 to 1984 which include Naked Lunch, Jack Kerouac’s rolled manuscript for Big Sur, and editions of Vladimir Nabokov’s Lolita in several languages.
