This issue of TC Cuadernos collects the production of the Paredes y Pedrosa architecture studio from 2005 to 2021. In its more than 300 pages, it covers with photos, texts, drawings and construction details the fruit of this trajectory up to the moment of the current maturity of these architects who are among the most interesting and established of Spanish architecture.
The architecture of Paredes and Pedrosa shown in this monograph is, above all, of a public nature, awarded in competitions, where projects such as the Lugo Auditorium, the Villa Romana de Olmeda, the Gandía school or the Ceuta library stand out. the emphasis on highlighting the particularities of the place and the pre-existence. The Library of Córdoba, still under construction, is also published for the first time, a trajectory of continuity, faithful to its origins. A cultured and serene architecture, without formal excesses that tries to adapt to environments and solve real problems, without predefined languages. An architecture that trusts the profession and not so much the image, solvent, respectful of the past and aware of the present.
