Marcel runs a graphic design office in Antwerp called 'Monsieur Moiré' together with his colleague Kim Matthé. They specialize in web design and graphics for the cultural sector. Marcel's choice of books tends to be inspired by disciplines other than graphic design because he feels this broadens his horizons and prevents him restricting himself to a single style or designer. Architecture, photography and landscape architecture can have a huge influence on him. A case in point is the work of artist Ron Mueck: however large or small a sculpture is, it makes an impact on Marcel. "It has a calming effect on me", he says.
Humour is also very important in his graphic work and an artist like Maurizio Cattelan inspires him and makes him happy.
