Stefan loves simplicity and purity in art, architecture and design, as well as in photography and fashion.
His interior projects embrace space, proportion, light and texture. He prefers clean lines, elementary forms and traditional materials (solid oak, brick, stone, etc.).
"Books furnish a room” is Stefan Hommerin’s creed and you’ll find them in all the rooms in his own home.
His collection contains every conceivable book about John Pawson, Peter Zumthor and Claudio Silvestrin and on more than one occasion Stefan has told us about a new book due for publication even before we have received any information about it from the publisher!
For this column, as well as books about architecture, he chose a book about the work of artists Ai Weiwei, Richard Serra and Donald Judd, and a beautiful publication about fashion designer Alexander McQueen.
