M. José Van Hee simply loves books. They provide companionship when she's working and when she wants to relax. Her library contains books about architecture and about art, and she is as interested in the classics as she is in contemporary trends. M. José chose the 'Takaharu + Yui Tezuka Architecture Catalogue' to go with the first volume she had already bought. What she finds so interesting about these young Japanese architects is their fascination with openness and spatiality and how they apply that to the Japanese context. Though their thinking and detailing are a far cry from our European mentality, she sometimes feels surprising affinities in her own architecture. Recently purchased books include: 'Raoul De Keyser Aguarelas/Watercolours', 'Paolo David' from the 2G Books series, the large monograph 'Arne Jacobsen' and the little book 'Automat' by artist Michaël Borremans.
