Koen Van Synghel
Architect-Critic, °1965 Brussels Books are Koen Van Synghel's daily bread; they constitute his analogous world. He has worked for VRT radio, written architecture reviews for newspapers and specialized journals, he curates exhibitions and he is the author of several publications including works about the Belgian architects Goris & Coussé and the Congolese artist Pierre Bylex. Koen chose 'Avenue Patrice Lumumba' by photographer Guy Tillim, 'Louis Kahn. Houses', Gerhard Richter's 'Atlas', a book about the work and writings of artist Gordon Matta-Clark, and the lovely little study of film director Derek Jarman's garden. September 2009 |
