Babs Decruyenaere
Employee Copyright Bookshop Antwerp and artist, °1978 Antwerp Babs studied graphic art in Antwerp before doing a postgraduate course in visual art in Breda (the Netherlands) and evening classes in photography - her real passion - in Antwerp. As an artist she works with photography about photography; her basic principle is the camera obscura. Her work was short-listed for the Canvascollectie competition (organized by Canvas television) in 2008. She chose a book about the photographer Moroslav Tichy, the collection of the Paris Centre Pompidou collection because it showcases both the classics and contemporary photography, and also 'Stilleben' by Michael Wesely, 'Gerhard Richter - Landscapes' and Johan Swinnen's essays on photography,'De lichte kamer'.
